Role
Product Designer
Vita is a mobile application that helps users track their daily habits, moods, and goals — designed with emotional intelligence and user empathy at its core.
It focuses on supporting users beyond task completion by fostering motivation, self-awareness, and long-term consistency. Through a calm and intuitive experience, Vita encourages users to build sustainable routines at their own pace.
My Role
I led this project as the Product Designer, guiding the journey from initial exploration to final implementation, which included understanding the brief, conducting research, ideating, designing, and prototyping.
I was responsible for establishing the branding and leading the end-to-end UI design process. I integrated AI to provide users with personalized goal-based recommendations and aimed to create a clean, intuitive, and user-friendly experience.
Understanding Challenges
The key challenge was integrating habit, mood, and goal tracking without overwhelming users.
Lack of Motivation
Habit-tracking applications require emotionally engaging, encouraging, rewarding, and motivating elements to help users maintain long-term consistency.
Deficiencies in the Information Structure
The absence of a clear information architecture, a consistent visual language, and simplified navigation stands out as one of the key factors negatively impacting the user experience.
Issues in the Onboarding Flow
When users do not receive adequate guidance during their initial interactions, they may struggle to understand the value and benefits offered by the application.
My Approach
In this project, I adopted a user-centered approach informed by research on habit-tracking applications, with a strong focus on building an emotional connection. The goal was not only to create an aesthetically pleasing interface, but to design an intuitive and motivating experience that users could engage with over the long term.
Simple and Intuitive Flows
Onboarding and core user flows were designed to be clear, minimal, and easy to understand.
Emotionally Engaging Experience
Reward and feedback mechanisms that support user motivation and help build a meaningful connection with the product formed the foundation of the design.
Consistent and Modern Visual Language
A warm and friendly visual language reflecting the product’s character was established through a cohesive system of color, typography, and iconography.
Design Process
Here’s how these insights were translated into a tangible solution:
Branding
A brand language reflecting a warm, playful, and motivating character was created. Colors, icons, and illustrations were designed as a cohesive system to support emotional connection.
Design System
Habit tracker apps often include many features, which can make it harder for users to stay focused. Therefore, simplicity and clarity were prioritized throughout the design.
The interface uses a pastel-based color palette with a single primary color for emphasis. A consistent grid system and typography were applied to maintain visual harmony, helping users focus on their habits and daily progress rather than the interface itself.
Designing (UI/UX)
User journeys were defined, wireframes were created, and the process moved into UI design. Each screen was crafted to deliver a simple, motivating experience without overwhelming the user.
Prototyping
Interactive prototypes were built to test the experience. Particular focus was placed on reviewing the onboarding and streak flows.
